Metrics for weighted transition systems: Axiomatization and complexity

چکیده
Simulation distances are essentially an approximation of simulation which provide a measure of the extent by which behaviors in systems are inequivalent. In this paper, we consider the general quantitative model of weighted transition systems, where transitions are labeled with elements of a finite metric space. We study the so-called point-wise and accumulating simulation distances which provide extensions to the well-know Boolean notion of simulation on labeled transition systems. We introduce weighted process algebras for finite and regular behavior and offer sound and (approximate) complete inference systems for the proposed simulation distances. We also settle the algorithmic complexity of computing the simulation distances.

The parallel machine scheduling problem is an important and difficult problem to be considered in the real-world situations. Traditionally, this problem consists of the scheduling of a set of independent jobs on parallel machines with the aim of minimizing the maximum job completion. In today's manufacturing systems, in which both early and tardy finishing of job processing are undesired, the o...
متن کاملAxiomatizing Bisimulation Equivalences and Metrics from Probabilistic SOS Rules
Probabilistic transition system specifications (PTSS) provide structural operational semantics for reactive probabilistic labeled transition systems. Bisimulation equivalences and bisimulation metrics are fundamental notions to describe behavioral relations and distances of states, respectively. We provide a method to generate from a PTSS a sound and ground-complete equational axiomatization fo...
متن کاملMetrics for Action - labelled Quantitative Transition Systems 1
This paper defines action-labelled quantitative transition systems as a general framework for combining qualitative and quantitative analysis. We define state-metrics as a natural extension of bisimulation from non-quantitative systems to quantitative ones. We then prove that any single state-metric corresponds to a bisimulation and that the greatest state-metric corresponds to bisimilarity. Fu...

متن کاملMinimizing the energy consumption and the total weighted tardiness for the flexible flowshop using NSGA-II and NRGA
This paper presents a bi-objective MIP model for the flexible flow shop scheduling problem (FFSP) in which the total weighted tardiness and the energy consumption are minimized simultaneously. In addition to considering unrelated machines at each stage, the set-up times are supposed to be sequence- and machine-dependent, and it is assumed that jobs have different release tim...
